About the positionWe have an available temporary, full-time position as researcher (SKO 1108) at the Department of Neurosurgery, Division of Clinical Neuroscience, Institute of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo.The research project is anchored in the K.G. Jebsen Center for Brain Fluid Research, led by Professor Per Kristian Eide. The center has fund for a total of four more years; the end date being 19 september 2029.This project will be carried out in close partnership with a diverse team that spans multiple disciplines, emphasizing the need for strong communication and interpersonal skills.More about the positionThe researcher is expected to take active part in the research cooperation within the group and to co-supervise students, and will be supported in acquiring qualifications, promoting current and future work in higher academic positions within the relevant disciplines.You will work withThe objective of the project is research activity associated with the defined objectives of the center, the major work assignments being: * MRI data analysisIn addition, the researcher will be encouraged to present research regularly both in the department and at international scientific conferences.The position is externally financed, with funding until 31 December 2026.Qualifications Qualification requirements
  • Master of Science in Medical Technology.
  • Background in MRI physics.
  • Documented experience with MRI data analysis and processing, particularly in neuroimaging.
  • Demonstrated experience in research activities relevant for the center activities.
  • Good programming skills (e.g. MATLAB, R, or similar).
  • Experience in using Services for sensitive data (TSD).
  • Knowledge of neuroimaging toolkits (e.g. FSL, FreeSurfer).
  • Manage running analysis pipelines on high-performance computing (HPC) clusters.
  • Knowledge of Brain Imaging Data Stucture (BIDS).
  • Experience with MRI pulse programming.
  • Excellent communication skills in a Nordic language.
  • Very good written and spoken English skills.
