As our new Head of Power Systems in Norway, you will be part of the Norwegian Energy Management Team and a part of our global Power Systems team. You will manage and grow a team of experts, secure and deliver projects applying a seller-doer mentality and bring your strategic thoughts and ideas into the global team to support Ramboll's overall Power Systems strategy. Furthermore, you will act as a thought leader in your area of responsibility and will prepare, execute, and follow up on key events.As Head of Department, you will play a key role in driving digital transformation by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to prepare Ramboll for the future. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about using AI to work smarter, deliver more efficient solutions, and set new standards for excellence in the power systems sector.Your key responsibilitiesAs part of a dedicated team, you will take on diverse tasks and responsibilities of varied complexity and scale, such as:
- Lead and execute the country and client strategies for Norway
- Set up a growth and hiring strategy for our Power Systems team in Norway
- Drive business development and establish/expand client relationships in market areas, transmissions & distribution, substations and electrical engineering
- Day-to-day and strategic line management for the local Power Systems team in Norway, including professional development
- Jointly develop the Norwegian power systems market together with other Ramboll units to provide a holistic service offer for our clients
- Support the electrification of other relevant sectors in Norway
- Act as Project Manager for complex, multi-service assignments, ranging from design to owner's engineering and development support to technical due diligence and strategic advisory for projects
- Champion the adoption and integration of AI-driven tools and methods to enhance efficiency and quality in both tendering and project execution.
- Identify and implement innovative AI solutions that enable the team to deliver smarter, faster, and more cost-effective services to our clients.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging the team to explore and adopt new digital technologies, with a strong focus on AI-enabled workflows.
- Master's degree or other advanced degree in relevant discipline.
- Preferably a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience
- Substantial experience in power systems project development, execution, or operation within a consultancy company, power company or other relevant market
- Profound industry knowledge and a thorough understanding of design and engineering, project economics, interfaces, risks, and commercial aspects of power systems development
- Proven track record in managing small or large teams as well as dealing with multidisciplinary projects
- Industry reputation and established network
- Demonstrated experience in applying AI or advanced digital tools to improve business processes, particularly within tendering and project delivery.
- A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to anticipate industry trends and proactively implement AI solutions that future-proof our services.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire teams to embrace new technologies and drive digital transformation.
- Excellent Norwegian and English skills, both written and spoken are required
