- Challenges of deepwater installation and dynamic offshore conditions.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety frameworks, such as via DNV, IEC, CIGRÉ, etc.;
- A strong understanding of failure mechanisms and reliability drives such as cable fatigue, installation damage, manufacturing defects, seabed movement, etc.;
- An awareness of how design decisions, installation, monitoring, and repair planning can reduce risk.
- Identifying which risks are most relevant;
- Developing a strong understanding of the intersection between real-world technical aspects of a project, merged with the coverage and premium available for taking on such risk;
- Providing technical advisory services for clients and prospective clients on projects in their early phases;
- Following up on “Construction All Risk” projects during the construction period, including management of meetings and discussions with the client's project team.
- Supporting the claims handlers and improving their ability to understand technical issues;
- Acting as a 'sparring partner' to the claims handlers though active engagement in the claims process;
- Providing technical inputs into claims data and experience review to extract insights, identify trends, and capture lessons learned to support continuous improvement in risk understanding;
- Assisting in contingency response situations as part of our Emergency Response Team.
