  • Lead and develop a high‑performing technology organization
  • Shape the roadmap for next‑gen automation & control systems
  • Drive global R&D execution, innovation, and long‑term technical strategy
  • Influence technology standards with Class societies, customers, partners, and universities
  • Ensure ABB remains a global leader in maritime digitalization and intelligent vessel systems
As Global Technology Manager, you’ll be responsible for:Technology Leadership
  • Setting the technology vision and roadmap for Marine Automation & Control
  • Leading decision‑making in software architecture, tools, and technology stack
  • Ensuring world‑class R&D practices including CI/CD, DevOps, Agile delivery
  • Guiding teams to innovate, challenge the status quo, and deliver excellence
Strategic Execution
  • Planning and managing the global R&D portfolio
  • Ensuring resource alignment, quality delivery, and strong partner collaboration
  • Overseeing risk, IP, cybersecurity considerations, and lifecycle management
Cross‑Functional Impact
  • Partnering with Product Management, Sales, Supply, and Operations
  • Acting as the technology voice towards customers, suppliers, and classification societies
  • Representing ABB in global technical forums and industry bodies
People & Organizational Leadership
  • Building and developing a high‑performing, future‑ready tech organization
  • Coaching leaders and teams across cultures and global sites
  • Ensuring talent, structure, and capabilities match long‑term ambitions
What You Bring;Must‑Have Experience
  • Strong background in software development, control systems, or industrial digital platforms
  • Experience leading R&D teams and driving technical direction
  • Expertise with DevOps, Agile, CI/CD, and modern development environments
  • Software architecture and lifecycle management expertise
  • Skilled stakeholder management and business‑oriented decision‑making
  • Fluent English communication
  • Solid understanding of risk and budget management
Great-to-Have
  • Background in control engineering, robotics, or distributed automation
  • Understanding of systems topology, communication networks, and industrial cybersecurity
  • Experience working across cultures and global organizational setups
