Together, the different backgrounds, experiences, ideas, and perspectives of our employees drive our success.Job Summary Plan & execute plugging and abandonment activitiesJob DescriptionAccountability & End Result:Apply and support HSE and Q best practices in planning of well operations Deliver planning and support of well operationsOptimize available resources during planning and execution of well operations Expand of individual knowledge / participation in synergy and experience transferApply Schedule & Cost performance analysisComply to regulatory and corporate policyAdministrate allocated ServicecontractsAssigned roles, responsibilities, procedures and other – general:Plan safe, environmental sound and efficient well operations through collaborative efforts following the Well Design & Delivery Process and related policies/requirementsBe approachable, as well as willing to approach others, to help mentor and develop other engineersParticipate in special projects and task groups as requiredEnsure well design and operations comply with corporate management standards and regulatory requirementsProvide technical support during operations (includes duty requirements/offshore as needed)Track, analyze and investigate issues to improve operational performanceProvide input for risk assessment and mitigation plansMonitor and analyze operational progress against plans and follow up on significant problems with corrective actionsDevelop accurate cost estimates including appropriate contingency and secure funding for P&A programs according to the LRP.Recommend implementation of new techniques and practices and conduct feasibility studies for new design concepts as neededDocument and champion lessons learned.Prepare and archive relevant documentation for well operationsSupport delivery of reporting to offshore, management, authoritiesAdministrate allocated service contracts and COPNO proceduresProvide P&A input to yearly LRP and ARO-process, and communicate same to stakeholders.Facilitate the yearly P&A risk screening process.Specific roles and responsibilities:Assist the Drilling Supervisor in the coordination of offshore requirements and day-to-day eventsProvide offshore support by holding pre-spud meetings, and assistance during critical drilling and workover operations, such as casing/cementing jobsRequired competency:Master/Petroleum Engineer Degree or relevant education or experienceSufficient computer skills to fluently use office applications and wells engineering softwarePreferred competency:Thorough understanding of Norsok D-010Experience with Kabal OperatorUnderstand mathematical analysis, calculus, and other mathematics for design and troubleshootingUnderstanding of downhole mechanical concepts and processesAble to work to develop new solutions to problems; skills to identify the source of the problem, create, and test solutions are neededOther
