We are expanding our Legal and Governance team, and are searching for a proactive and skilled Compliance Officer to help ensure that VARD operates in accordance with internal policies and external regulations. Through strategic advice, practical procedures, and proactive monitoring, you will ensure that compliance is not just a requirement-but a value embedded in how we work. You will be a trusted advisor to our management and key personnel, helping build understanding and ownership of compliance throughout our business.Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies
Provide practical legal and compliance advice to management and key personnel
Develop and implement compliance procedures and training programs
Support reporting activities to internal and external stakeholders
Assist in due diligence processes and risk assessments
Contribute to contract reviews and negotiations with a focus on compliance risks
Support governance structures and corporate documentation
Promote awareness and understanding of compliance across business units
QualificationsYou hold a higher education degree (a law degree is an advantage, but not a requirement), and you bring minimum 5 years of relevant experience working with compliance in a corporate setting.Combining your professional expertise with strong communication and problem-solving skills, you have the ability to influence the direction of the company by sharing ideas and driving continuous improvement. You are passionate about guiding and motivating colleagues and leaders at all levels, and you operate independently with precision, efficiency, and a high ethical standard.In this role, it is essential that you balance a strategic mindset with attention to detail, and that you thrive under pressure and tight deadlines.
