Exciting opportunity for a Mid level Data Engineer to join one of Norways top companies within the construction industry!The company performs construction and maintenance assignments for state, municipal and private customers throughout the country is expanding their Data & Insight team to contribute significant insights into their business and market. As a data engineer, you will be responsible for gathering data from various sources and transforming it for business use.The company is continuously modernizing their data platform on Azure cloud along with databricks capabilities and are exploring the possibilities of Fabric. They heavily rely on this small dynamic team to make informed decisions.Norway highly relies on this company for the safety of their travelling citizens and put social responsibility at the forefront of their vision.They look to develop a platform to give accurate business insights, automate decision making and longer term this digital transformation will expand in to Data science and machine learningAs part of a smaller team with great flexibility, you will not only have the opportunity to broaden your skill-set working on such a modern platform, but you'll also work very closely with business and users to make the most out of it.
  • Bachelors/Masters in an Engineering or IT related subject
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, datawarehouse development, or similar
  • Proficiency with SQL or Python and comfortable gathering data from various platforms and data sets
  • A good understanding of visualisation tools, preferably Power BI
  • Good understanding of ETL processes and relational databases
  • Experience working with Azure (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse)
  • Experience with databricks architecture
  • Advantageous if you have been involved with Fabric
