- Initiate and undertake research within
- Develop courses and teach within the
- Maintain and further develop the soil chemistry laboratory
- Supervise BSc, MSc and PhD students
- Participate in administrative duties
- Provide other services to the university, profession and society
- PhD with focus on soil chemistry, biogeochemistry, or environmental chemistry
- Documented teaching competence
- Experience with applied environmental or agricultural research
- Experience with relevant laboratory procedures, methods and analysis in soil chemistry and knowledge of recent technological development within the field
- A documented record of relevant scientific publications
- Ability to initiate, secure funding and carry out research projects.
- International collaboration and network
- Experience with supervision at university level
- Experience with outreach and dissemination
- Experience from interdisciplinary research
- Knowledge of Norwegian and EU soil and environmental policies
- Scandinavian language proficiency enabling you to teach in Norwegian within two years after the appointment
- Have a clear vision for future research and teaching at NMBU in collaboration with colleagues
- Have good communication skills, ability to establish new contacts and develop networks
- Have high working capacity, as well as interest and ability to work in teams
- Have ability to create a welcoming and productive working environment for colleagues and students
- Thrive in a multidisciplinary and international campus environment
- Documented educational competence using a “teaching portfolio” with a description of;
- Pedagogic qualifications, completed programme of at least 200 hours
- Teaching and supervision experience including breadth and variation in topics
- Basic teaching skills in planning, implementation, evaluation and development of teaching and supervision
