In this role, you will join our dynamic team in Product & Services, developing and delivering essential products and solutions into our commitments on Remote & Autonomous vessels.Kongsberg Maritime has ambitions to grow considerably within the Remote & Autonomous domain. This also includes control systems and advisory systems onboard manned vessels, where these solutions will have a broader market potential than for unmanned vessels. Key areas of growth will be navigation, automation & control, energy and digital services and integration between these areas.As part of this growth, we are looking for Advanced Maneuvering - product advisors. The role will be part of our existing Navigation, Positioning and Maneuvering product team.About the roleWe are seeking a dedicated professional to support project and product activities with required specifications, best-practices and validation of our Advanced Maneuvering solutions for Remote & Autonomous vessels. An important part of the job will be system qualification of the solutions towards classification societies and flag state. This role involves promoting a culture of product and business mind set, providing training, and leading improvement initiatives to achieve measurable benefits. You will collaborate closely with the rest of our highly professional product development team within the entire Navigation, Positioning and Maneuvering organization.   • Product development and qualification
  • Advice on Remote & Autonomous domain requirements within Navigation, Positioning and Maneuvering
  • Internal and external communication
We think you should have:
  • Higher technical education within Navigation, Maritime or equivalent
  • Experience with Navigation, Positioning and Maneuvering products and in particular the maneuvering control part
  • Experience with classification society rules and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English, written and oral
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills and ability to work in a structured, independent and proactive manner
