Technical Manager – Norsjø Cable Park🛠️ Do you want to take responsibility for the safety and technical operations of one of Norway’s most spectacular water activities? 🌊We are looking for a Technical Manager who will take full ownership of the cable park’s operations, maintenance, and safety – and who enjoys combining hands-on work with clear leadership and structured documentation. In this key role, you are both the safety chief, technician, and team leader.About Norsjø Cable ParkNorsjø Cable Park is one of Northern Europe’s premier arenas for wakeboarding and waterskiing. Each season, we welcome everyone from first-timers to professional athletes – supported by a dedicated team that ensures everything runs safely and efficiently. As Technical Manager, you are central to delivering top-level experiences every single day.Your responsibilitiesAct as Technical Manager in accordance with the park’s safety management system and applicable regulations (Norwegian Amusement Device Act, EN 13814).Have overall responsibility for ensuring that the cable system is always safe to use – including stopping operations if safety cannot be guaranteed.Ensure that all daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections are carried out and documented.Plan, order, and follow up on external safety inspections (e.g., Kiwa).Perform technical operations: start/stop procedures, inspection of main cables, guy wires, counterweights, load-bearing components, and safety systems.Lead and train cable staff and seasonal employees.Ensure that all employees have completed mandatory training and signed off on safety procedures.Report deviations, incidents, and accidents in accordance with routines and legal requirements.Keep emergency equipment, rescue plans, and contact lists up to date.We are looking for someone with:Experience operating cable systems, ski lifts, amusement parks, sports facilities, or similar technical installations with high safety requirements.Strong technical understanding and hands-on problem-solving skills.Experience as a team leader with the ability to motivate others.A structured approach to checklists and documentation.Swimming ability and good physical condition.Good English skills (Norwegian is an advantage).Personal qualitiesStrong safety awareness and the ability to make decisions affecting personal safety.Solution-oriented and proactive – especially in urgent situations.Positive and collaborative, with the ability to build strong team spirit.Precise and structured.We offerA unique job in spectacular surroundings at Norsjø.A key role with significant influence on operations and safety.The opportunity to work with a state-of-the-art facility and develop technical skills.An inclusive work environment with engaged colleagues across different departments.Application deadline: Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis – apply early.
