As a Material Handling Engineer you will design and develop the material handling system to assist in the movement and transport of specified objects. You will prepare material handling reports, crane study reports and material handling philosophies, using various tools such as E3D/Navisworks and contribute to a multidisciplinary cooperation.Responsibilities and tasks include
- E3D modeling of equipment and constraints
- Conducting material handling studies
- General evaluation of work environment and area access (HSSE)
- Having good knowledge of material handling equipment and relevant handling tools
- Conducting material handling reviews internally/externally
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Piping and Layout in Pre-Engineering, Detail Engineering, Prefab, and Installation Follow-on, and As-Built phases in Norway
- Extensive EPC new build/brownfield experience
- Documented experience in preparing material handling reports using E3D
- Some offshore and/or fabrication experience is preferred, especially Equinor experience
- Experience with crane studies and crane study reports
- Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Norwegian
- You show initiative and consistently align your actions with Aibel's core values
