As Vice President of Zero Emission Shipping Solutions, you will report to EVP Emerging Solutions and will lead one of a handful of strategic priorities that will span across divisions in Kongsberg Maritime.With our technologies already onboard 30% of the world's IMO fleet, we are uniquely positioned to support vessel owners in meeting ambitious emission targets. As international regulations tighten-led by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the EU-we are committed to being the go-to partner for sustainable transformation.Your missionThis is more than a leadership role, it's a chance to drive real change in one of the world's most vital industries. This program will be extensive, engaging teams and resources from every division within Kongsberg Maritime.
  • Lead the development of a transformative program - develop and deliver solutions that reduce emissions across the entire lifecycle of a vessel.
  • Uniting capabilities across Kongsberg Maritime-products, services, and expertise-to deliver innovative solutions for newbuilds, retrofits, and digital decision support.
  • Driving innovation and impact, identifying and developing new technology and offerings, including prototypes, partnerships, and potential M&A opportunities.
  • Inspiring and mobilizing teams across Kongsberg Maritime, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and commitment to Zero Emissions Shipping's mission.
  • Champion market relevance, ensuring our offerings meet evolving customer needs and industry standards.
We think you should have
  • Leadership experience from complex roles with responsibility for several disciplines leading experts and departments that is not in your field of expertise.
  • A real passion for the energy transition and have experience related to shipping in one or more of the following areas: vessel- owner, charterer, equipment delivery, construction or design.
  • Experience from commercial roles identifying and developing new opportunities with proven positive direct impact on bottom line results.
  • Experience with delivering projects that include elements of innovation and new technology, managing risk and profit.
  • The ability to combine innovation with a structured analytical approach.
  • Experience leading and working in cross-functional teams and influencing and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Relevant education within science, engineering or finance
