The position will be part of the research centre the Norwegian Center on AI for Decision (aiD) cooperating with over 60 companies.The research will focus on the combination of Reinforcement Learning (RL) and Model Predictive Control (MPC). It will build up upon the work done at ITK on the topic. Several research focuses are considered: verification pathways in RLMPC, risk management with RLMPC, sample efficiency and optimized exploration, latent state and belief state embedding in RLMPC.Are you motivated to take a step towards a doctorate and open exciting career opportunities? You must have a relevant Master's degree in Automation, Cybernetics, Mathematics, Data Science or equivalent. Your course of study must correspond to a five-year Norwegian course, where 120 credits have been obtained at master's level. Master students can apply, but the master's degree must be obtained and documented before starting the position.
You must have a strong academic background from your previous studies and have an average grade from your Master's degree study, or equivalent education, which is equal to B or better compared to
