NECON is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a long-term assignment with one of our clients in Bergen. Be a part of a highly skilled engineering team, working on a range of projects from early-phase to turnkey projects.Typical work tasks

Perform electrical design and act as electrical lead in projects
Prepare and deliver electrical documentation within budget and schedule
Develop and review electrical philosophies and specifications
Specify and size electrical power systems and related equipment
Specify electrical heaters and motor drives for rotating equipment
Evaluate and select solutions for power generation and energy storage
Contribute to energy optimization and sustainable technical solutions
Follow up suppliers and equipment packages
Prepare and quality-check electrical deliverables, including datasheets, calculations and technical reports
Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure efficient project execution
Act as an electrical specialist towards clients
Support development of methods, tools and competence within the Electrical Department

Desired Qualifications

MSc. or BSc. degree within a relevant field
Experience with power generation systems, high and low voltage system design and electrical equipment for offshore installations
Experience with engineering, follow-up of suppliers of electrical equipment within the oil- and energy industry
Experience from handling interface and working in multidiscipline teams
Technical knowledge and understanding of electrical equipment
Good understanding of the electrical industry market
Fluent spoken and written English.
