Join our global team for a career filled with opportunities to solve challenges both small and large, local and global, simple and complex.Wilhelmsen Ship Management (WSM) is looking for a Technical Cost Controller – Projects to support cost control activities across our Cruise Fleet.Locations: Lysaker Type: Full-time | HybridAre you conscientious and able to manage costs effectively with previous experience ?In this role, you will take ownership of project-related financial follow-up, working closely with Fleet Management, Drydock Management, and key internal and external stakeholders. You’ll play an important role in ensuring strong cost control, accurate forecasting, and sound financial decision-making across vessels and projects. If you enjoy working with numbers, collaborating across teams, and turning financial insights into clear recommendations, this could be a great next step for you.Who you will work with:You will report to the Customer Key Account Manager and Drydock Manager, working closely with the Fleet Manager for the Cruise Fleet. You’ll also collaborate with our Accounting and Procurement Shared Services teams in Malaysia, as well as vessel owners and auditors.What you will be doing:Manage project-related cost control activities across the Cruise FleetEnsure sufficient funding from vessel owners and timely receipt of fundsPrepare and present budget and forecast analyses together with the Drydock ManagerReview cost overruns and propose recommendations to the Fleet ManagerMonitor financial reports to ensure spending remains within approved budgetsAnalyse fleet-wide spending trends and suggest improvement measuresPerform financial analysis related to drydock projects, CAPEX, and other non-OPEX initiativesParticipate in CAPEX review meetings with internal teams and vessel ownersWork closely with accounting and procurement teams to ensure CAPEX costs are accurately capturedLiaise with Vessel Managers and Drydock Managers to ensure correct expense reporting and account codingSupport internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with proceduresReview and improve financial controls, governance, and workflowsSupport ad-hoc tasks as requiredWhat we are looking for:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
