- Carry out high-quality and independent research
- Develop a deep analog ensemble framework for advancing the uncertainty quantification of offshore wind forecasts
- Advance and strengthen national and international collaboration and interdisciplinary knowledge exchange with academic partners
- Publication of research results in high-impact, peer-reviewed scientific journals
- Apply for research funding and write applications and report on progress to funding sources
- Participate in international activities such as conferences and/or research stays at foreign educational institutions
- Actively participate in the Department, research group and project meetings
- Career promoting work. For example supervision of students, contribution to ongoing research projects, research funding management or other academic development work
- You must have completed a doctoral degree in Geography or Geoscience or similar fields of study
- Strong research background in remote sensing analysis
- Strong research background in spatial analysis and geostatistical simulation
- Experience in using Python and/or other programming languages
- Good oral and written English skills
- Research experience with numerical weather prediction models
- Strong experience in spatio-temporal deep learning and ensemble techniques
- Proven ability to publish research in international peer-reviewed journals
- Experience with interdisciplinary research and international collaboration
- Work independently and in a structured manner
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Are flexible and open to adapting research plans as the project develops
- Communicate and collaborate well in an interdisciplinary research environment
