We help Coop understand how the business is performing, what our customers think, what our competitors do, and what we should be doing about it.We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and working with everything from ad-hoc data prep and pipeline development, to publishing insights on our internal data platform. Coop is a large company, and our data landscape reflects this: pipelines span multiple clouds and integrate everything from legacy systems to external sources, supporting both real-time and long-term analysis. What you will be doing on a day-to-day basisAs a Senior Data Engineer at Coop, you will play a key role in building and improving our data and analytics platform -- ensuring that data flows seamlessly and is used to create real value for our customers and co-owners.Your main responsibilities will include: * Collaborating with cross-functional value stream teams to extract and deliver data products that support both internal needs and customer-facing solutions

Working closely with data scientists and analysts to develop new products, improve existing ones, and deploy models into production using MLOps best practices
Building and maintaining robust data pipelines that enable scalable analytics and high-quality data products
Developing platform capabilities that help product teams perform analytics faster and more effectively
Guiding and supporting other technical teams in adopting modern data practices, migrating sources, and implementing pipelines
Contributing to a strong data culture at Coop by promoting best practices and empowering teams to become more data-driven

Your tech stack will beAt Coop, we have a diverse technology stack. We don't expect you to know all of them, but some proficiency and willingness to learn will go a long way. Most of the early stages of our pipelines run in Azure, and the later parts of the pipelines takes place in GCP. Some of the more prominent and permanent parts of it are: * Python or C#In GCP * BigQuery, dbt

Who are we looking for?We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who is passionate about data and technology. You don't need to check every box -- if you have the drive to learn and a proactive mindset, we'll help you grow into the role. * You have experience writing data pipelines, implementing data-driven services, and working with data integration patterns

You are familiar with different database technologies (relational, document, graph, time series, key-value)
You have experience delivering data for ML training and prediction pipelines
You have experience with data modelling (we use BigQuery is our Gold Layer)
You understand distributed data architectures and patterns
You are comfortable with DevOps, CI/CD, cloud solutions (we use GCP and Azure), and container-based workflows
You embrace a DevSecOps mindset

You take initiative, propose improvements, and contribute to shaping better ways of working, architecture, and collaborationYou have 3--10 years of experience in data engineering, using modern tools and technologies * You have an educational background in IT or computer science (relevant experience can compensate for formal education)

You communicate well in English (Norwegian is a plus)
