- A PhD or an equivalent academic qualification in psychology is required.
- The candidate must be a licensed specialist in clinical neuropsychology. This requirement may be waived if the candidate can document broad experience equivalent to specialist-level practice in clinical neuropsychology practice across different disorder etiologies (i.e., experience cannot be limited to research projects).
- A strong research profile within the area of clinical neuropsychology or research translating cognitive neuroscience to clinical conditions is required.
- The candidate must exhibit a strong track record of publications in internationally acknowledged channels.
- Teaching experience and formal basic pedagogical competence are needed (i.e., a certification in university pedagogics). Applicants that cannot document formal pedagogical competence at the time of employment must acquire this within the first two years after their appointment. The Department will support this certification (e.g., coverage of the costs of the courses at the University of Oslo, recognition of the hours of these courses in the departmental teaching accounting system).
- The successful candidate is expected to relocate to the larger Oslo area upon starting the position to actively participate and contribute to the local working environment.
- Applicants must have fluent oral and written communication skills in English. Teaching at the professional program is in Norwegian. Fluency in one of the Scandinavian languages (Norwegian, Swedish, or Danish) is therefore preferred. Applicants who are not fluent in a Scandinavian language (Norwegian, Swedish, or Danish) will have to learn Norwegian within the first three years of employment to effectively participate in the functions required by the position (documented proficiency: CEFR Independent user Level B2 or equivalent). The Department will actively support the learning of Norwegian (e.g., coverage of the cost of the courses at the University of Oslo, reduction of teaching and administrative duties, Norwegian coach).
- Contributions to the clinical field of clinical neuropsychology (e.g., through recommendations or guidelines for clinical assessments or treatment programs) is desired.
- The candidate should be well-established in terms of international collaborations and collaborations with health institutions.
- Prior experience with the acquisition of external research funds and the management of research projects is desirable.
- Documented experience in science dissemination as well as adherence to open science practices will count positively.
- Documented contributions to institutional management and administration are desirable.
- Salary in position as Associate Professor, position code 1011 in salary range NOK 750 000 - 900 000, depending on competence and experience. From the salary, 2 percent is deducted in statutory contributions to the State Pension Fund.
