- Lead the design and development of scalable software systems
- Contribute to architectural decisions and the technical roadmap
- Mentor engineers and improve development practices.
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews while continuously improving and refactoring existing systems
- Define testing strategies and troubleshoot complex issues across the software stack.
- Own the software development workflow, including tooling, backlog coordination and release management
- Define and improve development processes and guidelines
- Support deployment of applications into production environments
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams across robotics, electrical, and mechanical engineering
- Lead agile development processes including sprint planning and stand-ups
- Represent the software team in internal and external technical discussions
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field is welcome, but equivalent practical experience is equally valued.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Rust, C#, or similar languages
- Strong understanding of modern software engineering principles, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working with version control systems such as Git
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Django
- Experience working with databases (SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, InfluxDB)
- Good understanding of messaging protocols like MQTT, Rabit
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure (preferred) AWS, or GCP
- Exposure to AI/ML systems or data-driven applications, in particular image recognition
- Experience working in Agile development environments
