We are seeking a visionary and experienced Specialist of QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) to embed QHSE at the core of our operations. This strategic leadership role reports directly to the EVP Digital & Simulation, with functional alignment to Kongsberg Maritime's global QHSE organization.Our division delivers cutting-edge digital applications that enable greener, more efficient ship operations, supporting the maritime industry's transition to sustainability. We also develop and supply advanced maritime simulators-combining hardware and software to train professionals in safe, realistic, and high-performance environments.At KONGSBERG, QHSE is more than a function-it's part of our DNA.   • Lead QHSE strategy: Develop and execute divisional strategies aligned with global standards.
  • Ensure compliance & certification: Maintain ISO certifications (9001, 14001, 45001, 27001) and adherence to KM's Business Management System (BMS).
  • Drive continuous improvement: Lead audits, risk assessments, and root cause investigations to strengthen processes, prevent incidents, and resolve non-conformities.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture: Deliver training, awareness campaigns, and foster ownership and accountability across all levels.
  • Support operational excellence: Partner with engineering, delivery, and project teams to integrate QHSE throughout planning, execution, and lifecycle management.
  • Monitor performance & engage stakeholders: Track KPIs, report to senior management, and ensure transparency with internal and external stakeholders.
What we think you should have
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field
  • Proven leadership experience in QHSE roles
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 27001) and certification processes
  • Experience with audits, investigations, and risk-based approaches
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and ability to lead by example
