Production Engineering spans several teams across Trondheim, Ljubljana and Warsaw. We build the technical foundations for Sportradar’s marketplace, helping teams deliver faster and run systems reliably.The teams we are hiring for are fully based in our Trondheim office, working closely with local colleagues while still collaborating with our broader international unit.We focus on practical improvements and learning. Recent examples include AWS certification study groups, Terraform workshops, and experiments with AI to explore new ideas. Engineers take ownership and build solutions that scale.We keep the team connected through open communication, social activities, and close collaboration between engineering and product. The Sportradar Marketplace is a platform that brings together trusted suppliers of sports data, content, and APIs. This enables users to quickly discover, trial, and activate products in one place. Your responsibilities will be to:
- Lead technical discovery with suppliers, understand APIs, schemas, and authentication flows.
- Design and build scalable integration components (services, adapters, pipelines) in collaboration with internal engineering teams.
- Guide suppliers through onboarding and validate end-to-end functionality.
- Set and enforce standards for API reliability, schema stability, and error handling, contributing to SLAs and operational best practices.
- Validate and test data feeds before and after launch for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor production performance, troubleshoot issues, and lead remediation efforts when problems arise.
- Influence integration architecture, patterns, and best practices.
- Identify opportunities to automate onboarding, testing, and monitoring.
- Provide technical insights that shape supplier prioritisation and product roadmaps.
- Solid engineering background with experience building APIs, services, or data integrations
- Proficiency with object-oriented programming [Java or Kotlin] and modern software craftsmanship practices.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native services, and event-driven or streaming architectures.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and ensure high service reliability and data quality.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience with integration patterns, schema design, and authentication mechanisms.
- Familiarity with AWS services, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Background in sports data, media, or marketplace ecosystems.
- Interest in automation, monitoring, and improving developer experience.
