About the positionPosition: Facilities Maintenance Worker**Starting date:**15.09.2025**End date:**31.07.2026Temporary position (prosjektstilling) for this school year.15 hours per week, flexible hours.We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Worker to help with the daily running of our International School. The position offers a variety of tasks and has flexible working hours between 07:00 and 17:00 on weekdays. The position is ideal for candidates who are practical and hands-on and who enjoy a variety of practical tasks.Working language: English.Part-time position (15 hours per week, 40% position).**Deadline to apply:**as soon as possible.We are looking for someone who:We are looking for candidates who are practical and hands-on and who enjoy a variety of practical tasks.Your responsibilities:Ensure that outdoor areas are safe and well-maintained (incl. removing leaves, gardening, snowplowing etc.)Ensure that indoor areas are safe and well-maintained (cleanliness in common areas etc).Conduct regular inspections of school grounds and facilities for safety and maintenance needs.Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including painting.Assemble school furnitureManage and organize inventory of supplies and equipmentAssist in setting up and taking down furniture for school events and activitiesCollaborate with school staff for special projects or activities requiring physical supportDesired qualifications and personal qualities:Practical and solution-orientedService minded and can-do attitudeGood humourDutiful and responsibleAbility to follow instructions and guidelinesAbility to work independently and goal-orientedProficient in English (speaking and understanding)Personal qualities will be taken into account.We offerVaried working day with a focus on practical tasksFlexible working hours between 07:00 and 17:00 on weekdaysGood pension and insurance schemesSalary and benefitsThe position is paid as an assistant according to the latest Hovedtariffoppgjøret (KS).
