Run what runs the world.This Position reports to: R&D Team LeadCould your engineering skills help shape a greener future at sea?ABB is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with expertise in power generation, distribution, and/or drives to join our Electrical Solutions team. You will be part of a skilled multidisciplinary group working on some of the most exciting and complex projects in the maritime industry.We develop electric propulsion, power, and automation systems for safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly operation of various vessel types, including passenger transport, research vessels, LNG carriers, offshore wind installation ships, and aquaculture vessels. This role will primarily focus on projects using ABB’s DC distribution system: Onboard DC Grid.The workplace will be Fornebu.Your Role and Responsibilities

Collaborate in project teams with electrical and automation engineers
Work with shipyards on deliveries for single vessels or series
Design systems, prepare documentation, guide customers, and conduct system studies
Participate in factory testing and support commissioning
Communicate closely with customers, factories, R&D, and classification societies

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (less experienced candidates are also encouraged to apply)
Ability to work across disciplines and make decisions from a systems perspective
Strong combination of practical and theoretical knowledge
Fluent in English; cultural awareness and mutual respect are essential
Interest in maritime industry, power systems, and low/zero-emission technologies
