Are you our new Business Development Manager who identifies and drives changes and help others make the complex easy to understand?Business Area Commercial serves business customers up to 500 employees ranging from startups, family-owned, to large businesses. We are around 1,000 dedicated insurance professionals across the Nordics and we follow businesses as they grow and succeed as well as through challenging times, ensuring we are by their side. In the business segment for insurance, we see increasing digital demands and we are on an exciting journey to cement our position as the most caring insurer of people and businesses.About the teamThe current team consists of four persons with a background from management consulting - driving change and motivating each other is just as important as having fun together and enabling a work-life balance.About the roleWe are building up our Business Development unit in our second largest business area, Commercial, serving SME customers. You will work closely with the management group driving initiatives with long-term strategic importance for If. You will work across markets and customer segments to ensure we capitalize on best-practice and our Nordic scale. This is an opportunity to be part of a newly formed unit, where the right person will build a strong network and have a lot of possibilities for development and pursuing a career within the company.More specifically, you will
  • Lead prioritized projects in Commercial and do deep-dives into selected topics
  • Be part of the strategy and business planning process and ensure that we continuously work strategically with the right focus
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and make business cases
  • Facilitate top management discussions and meetings
Who are you?We are looking for a person who has strategic mindset and enjoys both facilitating and leading initiatives and projects. You have structured, analytical way of working and have a strong business acumen. You are able to build strong and long-lasting relationships and networks with your strong communication skills. You seek to understand business operation by a combination of facts and figures and an understanding about the actual ways of working and processes.You also have:
  • A couple of years relevant working experience from management consulting or equivalent
  • A higher education with relevant specialty
  • Fluency in English and at least one Nordic language
