
Field Service Engineer

- Technical support of Kongsberg Discovery's full range of Seatex products and system deliveries
- Act as point of contact in KD Customer Services for external and internal customers
- Field work onshore and offshore, including installation, commissioning and service assignments worldwide
- Participate in duty phone as an on-call engineer
- Support lifecycle decisions and product maintenance
- Contribute to optimizing Service and Technical Support performance
- Travelling is required
- Engineering degree in electronics, computer science, or similar - or relevant practical experience
- Solid knowledge of computer networks and the OSI model
- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages (e.g. Python) is an advantage
- Experience with installation and use of industrialized electronic/electrical products
- Knowledge of radio technology is beneficial
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
