- Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans for the electromechanical scope of the projects
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors based on their technical capabilities, quality, reliability, and competitiveness
- Negotiate contracts, prices, terms, and conditions with the selected suppliers and vendors
- Place orders and monitor the delivery of the electromechanical components and systems
- Coordinate and collaborate with the project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the alignment of the procurement activities with the project objectives and timelines
- Manage and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise during the procurement process
- Perform quality checks on the electromechanical products and systems
- Prepare and maintain procurement documents, reports, and records
- Stay updated on the market trends, best practices, and innovative technologies in the electromechanical industry
- Provide guidance and support to Supply Chain colleagues on procurement best practices
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field
- At least 10 years of experience in technical procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management2
- Experience from subsea, oil & gas or hydropower industries is preferred
- Strong technical understanding, experience from electromechanical products, systems, and standards is an advantage
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to be proactive, take responsibility to find solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP or other similar ERP system
- Ability to work independently, build networks and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Flexibility and ability to travel domestically and internationally if needed
