We are now looking for a commercially minded and customer-focused Sales Director to lead our team in Norway.About Your Future Role
As Sales Director, you will manage and develop relationships with our customers together with your team. You and your team will ensure customer satisfaction, identify new business opportunities, and act as the key link between the client and our internal teams. You will also have the opportunity to be part of one of our most strategic and high-impact initiatives, launching new products for advanced digital issuing into the Norwegian market, and leading the hunting sales effort.You will act as a trusted advisor for customers, develop long-term commercial opportunities, and ensure that Nexi is positioned as the preferred partner for card issuing in the Nordics.Your main responsibilities will be:Customer & Account Leadership
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for key accounts and maintaining long-term relationships.
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of clients' needs, strategies, and business environments.
  • Negotiating and managing contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Leading the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification to successful deal closure.
Sales and Commercial Strategy
  • Own sales targets, forecasting, account planning, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within your team's accounts and the broader Nordic market.
  • Act as a proactive hunter to identify, approach, and secure entirely new potential customers and strategic prospects.
  • Develop pricing strategies in alignment with commercial objectives.
  • Monitor KPIs and adjust strategies to drive sustained growth and profitability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Leadership
  • Work closely with product, IT, finance, and operations to ensure customer and market needs are met.
  • Lead a small team of sales & account managers, reinforcing a high-performance culture and enabling the team to successfully execute our growth strategy, and adapting to evolving customer demands
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team and across functions.
Market Insight
  • Stay informed about Nordic market trends, competitive landscape, technological developments, and regulatory changes impacting payments and issuing.
What Makes You a Great Fit
We're looking for someone eager to make a difference. Here's what we value:Essential Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of sales leader experience in B2B sales or relationship management, ideally within technology, digitalization, IT, or financial services.
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English
  • Proven track record in new customer acquisition or business development
  • Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Structured, goal-oriented, and proactive working style.
  • Knowledge of the payments industry-especially issuing-is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and digital sales methodologies.
